One lucky break, given by Youtube, for one lucky girl….Once again it’s a proof, if you’re destined for something great, put yourself out there, there’s so many ways to do it nowadays… and one day that something great will happen=)

Just randomly clicked on a video on youtube and really liked the song “Boy”. Went into deeper research about the singer since I liked her voice a lot…Turns out, this girl was a persistent Youtube uploader of her singing covers of other songs, until one day she was noticed by Ed Sheeran. She does look like a star, her voice is really beautiful and I am glad I got the chance to notice her too..So meet Nina Nesbitt=)

Nina Nesbitt was born on 11 July 1994 in Balerno, Edinburgh, and attended Balerno Community High School. She started her career by writing and recording songs in her bedroom and uploading the videos to her YouTube channel. After meeting Ed Sheeran, she was invited to support him on his European tour, and was also invited by the Example to open his three concerts in December 2011 after hearing her perform his song “Stay Awake”. She also appeared in the video for Ed Sheeran’s song “Drunk”.

Her second EP, titled “The Apple Tree” was released in April 2012 and reached #6 on the iTunes download charts after receiving airplay on BBC Radio 1, and also reached #1 on iTunes singer/songwriter chart.

Nina has briefly announced her second UK Headlining Tour ; “BOY UK TOUR”. Which is to celebrate the release of her debut single which was released on 9th September 2012; “Boy”. With the help of her new record label Universal.

A remix of ‘Boy’ by Hostage was played by MistaJam on his midweek BBC 1xtra radioshow, August 7th.
