The Oscars are coming!

84th Annual Academy Awards, February 26th, 2012! I’m super duper excited=)

For all those, who by some (weird) reason don’t know what Oscars are, here is small introduction…

The Academy Awards ceremony, hosted by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), will honor the best films of year before. This year, the ceremony will take place on February 26, 2012 (4:00 p.m. PST, 7:00 p.m. EST), at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, California. It will be televised live in the United States on ABC. Nominations for the Academy Awards were announced by AMPAS on January 24, 2012.

Billy Crystal will host the ceremony this year, while Brian Grazer will produce it. This will be Crystal’s ninth time serving as host for the Academy Awards. The ceremony was originally scheduled to be hosted by Eddie Murphy. However, after Brett Ratner resigned as producer after using a gay slur when talking about rehearsals, Murphy also stepped down.

It’s one of the biggest events of the year and something anyone from the movie industry dreams to be part of. All the information you might need you can find on their website.
